How "Y Not Studios" approached production as a qualitative job rather than a quantitative one which was the point of departure for Y Not and why "Y Not" are not looked at as people that just put in money (in their case no money)
Y Not has done some ground-breaking work in promoting movies that many wouldn't have taken out in the mainstream and hence creating a niche for them. The inspiring speech will detail out how this was done followed by some interesting Q&A.
S. Sashikanth of Y NOT Studios owns a film production and distribution company in India. It was established in 2010 by and they had previously dabbled in direction while assisting Shankar during the making of Mudhalvan. In 2010, the production house made two critically acclaimed films, the spoof Thamizh Padam and the comedy drama Va. The former won commercial acclaim too and featured amongst the top ten grossers of that year. In 2012, the studio produced Balaji Mohan's Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi, which was also made in Telugu as Love Failure, and the film opened to critical and commercial acclaim.
