Speaker bio

Born in the Himalaya, Graduated in Physics from Ramjas College, Delhi University I did my masters in International business from the Delhi School of Economics.

I started FILMBOOTH in 2008 along with fellow co founders as an outcome of filmmaking pursuit which needed a space of its own. An initiative to set up the short films scene in India, Filmbooth promotes filmmakers and short-format visual storytellers, whose stylistic diversity challenges our preconceptions of cinema.

After curating 5 International Festivals I feel that the journey has just started. I also worked in the corporate sector for almost 5 years before calling it off to follow a road less travelled. I have been awarded “Young Manager” by St Stephens College. I was also awarded a fellowship by “Unbox Festival” supported by the British Council, for digital activism work related to the MDG’s. As part of the fellowship I worked with Breakthrough a US based NGO to make a viral Short Film taking the “Bell Bajao” campaign to the youth. My personal interests lies in Art, Photography, Yoga, Traveling and watching Theatre.
