We all have dreams & each one of us chase them one or the other way….what would it feel like when you lose a part of your body & need to compromise on a lot of things in life… life is a journey but not a destination but what if that journey is on path which no one else travelled?
We are called disabled, differently able & specially able people & in
India we are not still seen on the roads, restaurants, conferences or
social gatherings. There is a lot of stigma attached to the subject of
disability & we are tested at each level of life...
Hi my name is “Raghava” commonly referred as specially abled because I can't see BUT I have vision & I'm here to take you through a series of stories
where I will share few incidents that will tell you , what is it to win over the challenges of life & find
solutions in order to realize the dreams.
What goes inside your mind when you hear you are becoming blind?
How it affect you emotionally?
What do you do to keep yourself motivated?
How you learn, unlearn & relearn each aspect of your daily living
Often people walk up to me & my friends and ask the question “How can you/he be so happy, in spite of being blind”. ?
To know the answer come over listen to what I have to say & share your views because that’s where you all can make me part of you.
What lot of us take for granted is what we treasure; you will discover how to use your senses to do some impossible things. People with disability are not born with special gifts but they develop those skills & every one can learn them.
Come with a open mind, contribute & discover some amazing things.
Being visually impaired has only enhanced my ability to look at things in life from a different angle, and it has helped my face new challenges with much more zeal and zest…. When life and a few things bog me down, I rise from my own ashes like the pheonix and accept all that is thrown at me.
I am Raghava. I am on a journey to touch a million lives in what ever way I can & when I am not busy chasing my dreams I run marathons, volunteer, enjoy wildlife trekking & socializing. Before I settled into a day job I ran my own startup for 3yrs & currently work for a MNC as Accessibility Specialist.
I work with entrepreneurs, developers & designers to simplify the world & create products/services that are inclusive in nature.
