To introduce at the Unconference - a game, inspired by the Goa Project (TGP). An interesting, non-intrusive and sure shot way to interact and have fun with other TGP’ers.
What is the FUNconference game about?
The FUNconference game includes most of the elements of an Unconference and craziness borrowed from our collective experiences and observations of TGP 2013-14. It has speaker, participant, volunteer and organiser points to win, hangout spaces, rewards and penalties, challenges, strategy cards and more… and eventually a BAR to get to at the end. While it is an individual’s game to win, often you will be dependent on other players to get ahead. Surprise landings may overturn the game against you in just one chance. So till it’s finally over....it never is.
WARNING: The game MAY allow strategy, MAY demand some amount of competitiveness and killing. Can’t promise you any of that for sure. But what the game WILL do is let you have some moments of anxiety, give rise to feelings of wanting to tear your hair out and a whole load of LOL moments.
That’s a promise.
Special Mention and Thanks to all TGP-ers who made this possible:
Vijay Anand - who invited me to TGP 2014
Harold Raichur - who conducted the Board Game Design Workshop at TGP 2014 and got the idea sown in my lil head.
Rashi Vidyasagar, Shweta Sharma, Romil Vaswani - my teammates at the workshop with whom the insanity of the game began
Kavita Gonsalves - who encouraged the idea and assisted a great deal especially in the visual designing of the prototype of the game board.
Bhakti Joshi and Tarun Abhchandani - who opened up their home to us for the construction of the game and shared their valuable inputs as always.
With so much of support from my TGP buddies, it is only befitting that I bring it to TGP 2015.
So, lets play THE FUNconference at The Unconference.
