This is a proposal requesting for someone to speak on this topic. If you’d like to speak, leave a comment.

Objective

To understand how we move, why we move and to know ourselves better.

Description

Contact improvisation begins at a curiosity of the moment when two bodies meet, when one wave crashes into another. It is an exploration in shared motion, with extra attention to gravity. Aren’t we in constant negotiation with gravity? How can we explore this phenomenon with a greater degree of awareness and explore the physical possibilities of bones, joints and skin? This is a sensorial experience that looks at how we can move in sync with other human bodies and the space around us.

Requirements

Comfortable clothing, no jewellery/ sharp buttons/ hooks/ zips
Desire to share movement and moments
Musical instruments (optional - if you play one)
