And how the time has come for Adventure sports in India.

Description

The speaker has used long distance kayaking to raise awareness for kayaking as a sport. By kayaking the entire West Coast of India, and building content for the masses, he has looked at denting the surface of a cricket-crazy nation.
The combined use of digital media, social out reach and obviously the physical & mental exertion of a 83 day expedition by sea from Gujarat to Kanyakumari throws light to the thousands of athletes who haven’t made it just yet.

Why is this talk suited for the society track, and not for fringe?

Kaustubh, have you delivered this talk earlier? Do you have a slide deck we can see?

    Hi Zainab,

I don’t have a deck on this at present. But here’s a TEDx talk I gave when I kayaked a much smaller amount(bombay to goa) -

Naturally after a distance 5 times that size, and having spent 2 years building the project there are more insights / things to talk about.

As for the fringes - it’s been 5+ years Kayaking has been on the fringe. I hoped to be more accepted now.
