Objective
To have a interactive installation perfromance.
Description
Is an interactive installation performance, which was triggered from our concerns and questions in response to the regulation on and of bodies particularly women. The questions of what is a public and private space and how this politics is played on and via a female body is what the work tries to question. Is a woman’s body private ever? Does it have an agency of its own?
This work involves casting of a female body shape with wheat flour on metal and wooden scrap which is placed within a confined boundary made out of clothes, particularly identified as women clothing. This performance is designed for an open ground/any open public space which has mud/soil. It is a durational work which begins from the making of this body shape and continues till this body meets it’s organic/natural end. The process and the end product and residue are the performance. The performance encourages and welcomes audience to participate in casting the body and creation of confinement.
