Objective

To initiate discussion around the whole art community and to become a cohesive unit to build an ecosystem together. Enough of cribbing and enough of complaining let’s build this scene together.

Description

I have built a small community of artists from various art disciplines to collaborate and work together which brought upon some change in personal and social perspective. This is sort of a community development movement to bring everyone close to each other with knowledge sharing, information exchange and awareness through art. There are things which might sound Utopian but if we believe in it we can make it happen together. I want to extend and bring artists, collaborators, educators and patrons together towards a deep rooted cultural change wherever they are!

In today’s times, we are all stuck in our own agendas and most of us are failing constantly to thrive as artists. Our body of work is judged by a like or a hit through social media and in turn we are generating fast and mediocre work. I have seen artists quit easily, is it because they are discouraged or because it is easy to quit or just simply burning out. We can’t change the scene because we don’t have an ecosystem to survive in - hence the formation of a parallel self sustained eco-system.

Requirements

Just an open mind

This sounds interesting, Tenma. Have you delivered this talk earlier? Do you have a slide deck we can look through to understand more details?

I havent given a talk on this specific topic, I have some experience from building the art eco system and i have some insight to push the idea to bring in more people and build communites which leads to a bigger system.

I have the idea, once I have finalised the train of thought i will be able to make a slide deck, possibly in the next two days

Yes, please add a link to your slides here, by editing the proposal. The society track editors – Mekin and myself – are interested in your proposal, and would like to see at least a draft slide deck to understand your focus and approach.
