Our primary objective is to transform the way people communicate - by teaching them how to be better listeners and tell stories that connect, engage and inspire. This 2-hour personal storytelling workshop will focus on how to -
1.Improve your listening - Practice open and non-judgmental listening by freeing your mind of thoughts and interpretations, and connect with the storyteller.
2.Understand the value of storytelling - Communication is key. Everybody has a multiplicity of stories, and you can learn to tell your story better.
3.Master the storytelling basics - Learn the components of a great story, types of stories, key tools and methods of crafting and refining a story.
4.Develop your story - Learn to craft a compelling story that resonates with your audience, by finding the personal connection to the material you are working with.

Stories are everywhere. Telling stories is a way in which human beings have always con¬nected with one another. If you’ve ever been moved by a story, you’ll want to remember that experience and search for it in your personal odyssey towards great storytelling.
The Art of Personal Storytelling will help you bring to life your skills, attributes and capabil¬ities in a way that helps you to humanize your experiences, and communicate meaningfully about yourself and your aspirations. This workshop takes you through the steps to present¬ing a compelling story—outlining the strategies that help you move from novice to effec¬tive communicator.

Subodh Divekar - Design Strategist & Storyteller Subodh is a transdisciplinary designer-working collaboratively to address tough challenges, and turn them into design opportunities that can impact people’s lives.
This philosophy has guided his work, as strategist at Narativ Inc – helping re-tell the story of the storytelling company; instructor at Parsons School of Design – critically examining the world of objects, images and experiences; and as partner at NYCO – an award winning educational start-up that helps college-bound students to discover their purpose in life. He is big into the use of creative problem-solving methodologies, and has worked with organizations such as Twitter Inc, IDEO, City University of New York (CUNY), Wells Fargo, Future Group and The American Red Cross.
Currently, as Design Strategist at Gensler, he helps organizations create new value and build new forms of competitive advantage by aligning their business goals and strategy to space and designed experiences.
Kavita Gonsalves - Design Strategist Kavita is a workplace consultant with a design background in architecture and specialization in environmental planning, and data analysis. Over the last 10 years, her work in various multi-disciplinary projects within the realm of design informs her work on what it takes to design human experiences. Apart from that, she dabbles in movements, cake, silliness and play.
