Objective

We often look at performance as a tool for social change, but how does it affect the performer? What does it teach us about our bodies, our minds, the way we look at the world?

Description

Interspersed with spoken word pieces, I will reflect on how life decisions (like moving out of the urban lifestyle) informed my poetry and vice versa.

Speaker bio

Pragya is a writer and spoken word poet who has performed in New Delhi, Mumbai, Texas, and Washington, D.C. She currently performs with Kommune’s The Storytellers, and is the author of More Than a Memory, a poetry collection. She currently lives in the hills of Kumaon, writing.
